On recommendation of the Scientific Committee, we take pleasure to invite you to the Twelfth International Conference on Functional Equations and Inequalities, which is organized by the Department of Mathematics of the Pedagogical University in Cracow and included in the programme of the Stefan Banach International Mathematical Center of the Polish Academy of Sciences.

The Conference is planned for September 7 - 14, 2008
- arrival on Sunday (September, 7) - in the evening,
- departure after lunch:
    on Saturday, September, 13 for participants of the ICFEI,
    on Sunday, September, 14 for participants of the ICFEI & Workshop
and will be held in the Mathematical Research and Conference Center in Będlewo (near Poznań), which is well known to the participants of the previous editions of the ICFEI. You may find some information on the place at: www.impan.gov.pl/Bedlewo.

The Scientific Committee of the 12th ICFEI consists of the Professors:

The Organizing Committee of the 12th ICFEI consists of: Prof. Janusz Brzdęk (chairman), Prof. Vladimir Mityushev, Dr. Paweł Solarz, Ms. Janina Wiercioch, Mr. Władysław Wilk.

The Conference is devoted to functional equations and inequalities, to their applications in various branches of mathematics and other scientific disciplines, as well as related topics. The programmes of recent meetings contained, among others, the following specific topics:

• Functional equations in several variables: classical functional equations, conditional and alternative equations, equations stemming from real (complex) functional analysis, difference equations, stability problems for various equations, set-valued functional equations.
• Iterative functional equations and iteration theory: Schröder and other special equations, dynamical systems, iterative roots, regular iteration groups on a circle and in Banach spaces, linear equation with iterates of the unknown function.
• Functional inequalities: different kinds of convexity and approximate convexity, inclusions for multivalued functions, differential and difference inequalities.
• Related topics: applications in ODEs and PDEs, number theory, actuarial mathematics, social sciences and others.

During the 12th ICFEI we plan to pay special attention to the applications of functional equations and inequalities in different areas of science and technology. Therefore we also organize a workshop concerning that subject at the end of the Conference (Saturday - Sunday, September, 13 - 14). Everybody interested in it should indicate it on the registration form.

The conference fees for participants are:

• 1 450 PLN (approximately 395 EUR at the moment) - ICFEI only,
• 1 600 PLN (approximately 435 EUR at the moment) - ICFEI & Workshop

It would be very helpful if you fill the Preliminary Registration Form and {\bf send it back by January 31, 2008}, even if you do not intend to take part in the 12th ICFEI.
