On recommendation of the Scientific Committee, we take pleasure to invite you to the Thirteenth International Conference on Functional Equations and Inequalities, which is organized by the Institut of Mathematics of the Pedagogical University in Cracow.
The Conference is planned for September 13 - 19, 2009
- arrival - on Sunday (September, 13) - in the evening,
- departure - on Saturday (September, 19) – after lunch.
Conference will be held in the hotel "Tatry" in Małe Ciche,
small village near Zakopane. The hotel is situated on big clearing - called Polana Zgorzelisko - in the Tatra Mountains,
inside the Tatra National Park. It offers double rooms (with bathroom, tv-sat, phone, refrigerate),
and such facilities as sauna, solarium, massage, fitness centre, billiards, table-tennis and parking.
In the vicinity there are many interesting bicycle and walk routes.

The Conference is devoted to functional equations and inequalities, to their applications in various branches of mathematics and other scientific disciplines, as well as related topics. The programmes of recent meetings contained, among others, the following specific topics:
- Functional equations in several variables: classical functional equations, conditional and alternative equations, equations stemming from real (complex) functional analysis, difference equations, stability problems for various equations, set-valued functional equations.
- Iterative functional equations and iteration theory: Schröder and other special equations, dynamical systems, iterative roots, regular iteration groups on a circle and in Banach spaces, linear equation with iterates of the unknown function.
- Functional inequalities: different kinds of convexity and approximate convexity, inclusions for multivalued functions, differential and difference inequalities.
- Related topics: applications in ODEs and PDEs, number theory, actuarial mathematics, social sciences and others.
The total cost of the Conference for participants is 1430 PLN (425 EUR at the moment), and for accompanying persons 1010 PLN (300 EUR at the moment
