On recommendation of the Scientific Committee, we take pleasure to invite you to the
Fifteenth International Conference on Functional Equations and Inequalities (15th ICFEI)
organized by the Department of Mathematics of the Pedagogical University in Cracow.
The Conference is planned for May 19-25, 2013
- arrival - on Sunday (May, 19) in the afternoon,
- departure - on Saturday (May, 25) after breakfast.
It will be held at the hotel Wyspa Ski & Spa in Ustroń. Ustroń is a health resort town in the region of Cieszyn Silesia, in southern Poland (near the borders with the Czech Republic and Slovakia), and lies in the Silesian Beskids mountain range. There will be a free conference bus from Kraków to Ustroń on May, 19 (and from Ustroń to Kraków on May, 25). If you wish to stay for a few days in Kraków and visit the city (for example its historic centre, which includes the Old Town, Kazimierz and the Wawel Castle, and which has been placed on the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites in 1978, as the first of this kind), we can help you to book a hotel.

The Conference is devoted to functional equations and inequalities, their applications in various branches of mathematics and other scientific disciplines, as well as related topics. The programmes of recent meetings contained, among others, the following specific topics.
- Functional equations in several variables: classical functional equations, conditional and alternative equations, difference equations, stability problems, set-valued functional equations.
- Iterative functional equations and iteration theory: Schröder and other special equations, chaos, dynamical systems, iterative roots, iteration groups and semigroups
- Functional inequalities: different kinds of convexity and approximate convexity, inclusions for multivalued functions, differential and difference inequalities.
- Related topics: applications in ODEs, PDEs, number theory, actuarial mathematics, social sciences and others.
The approximate total cost (including accommodation, meals, social events and conference fee) of the conference will be 1500 PLN (approximately 360 EUR at the moment).
